The current financial times have caused school teachers and administrators to seek out creative ways to stretch their budgets without shortchanging our students. Some schools team up with an area Church and share some of the cost of a “String Man” booking. As a missionary, I would present a program at the church Sunday night for a "love offering." The church could provide me accommodations for my stay (church people love to entertain missionaries). Then I would do String Figure Workshops at the school all day Monday. Tell your principal that I do know how to separate church and state. This would also work on a Wednesday with school presentations during the day. Then the kids could be invited to hear "the rest of the story" at church that evening. Bring the family for hot dogs and string fun!
